The Croatian defender has been enjoying his holidays in a less conventional way than usual and was spotted dressed as a soldier in his homeland rather than relaxing on a beach after a gruelling campaign.

The 'Commando Squad 9' event saw the defender handed an airsoft gun and immersing himself in a virtual warzone, which saw him complete a realistic Special Forces mission designed to give him the ultimate physical and mental preparation ahead of his return to Manchester.
