It was not that long ago when Joe Hart was regarded as one of the top goalkeepers in England.

The shot-stopper was a solid number one for both Manchester City and England, but doubts over the 30-year-old’s future at the top level have begun to creep in.

Last season when Pep Guardiola took over at the Etihad Stadium, Hart was shipped out to Serie A side Torino on loan.

It was clear that his time at City was over, and it was made even more evident when the keeper was loaned out to West Ham United.

Hart immediately replaced Adrian in between the sticks, but he has failed to win over all of the club’s supporters.

This season, the goalkeeper has allowed 30 Premier League goals to get past him and the team have kept just three clean sheets in 15 matches.

On Monday, the Hammers were drawn against Shrewsbury Town in the third round.

Hart is very familiar with his team’s opponents given that he began his career at the League One outfit.

West Ham highlighted this on their Twitter feed by posting an old image of the goalkeeper playing for Shrewsbury.

The light-hearted tweet backfired as fans used the post to criticise Hart.
